ALASKAN GLACIER ICE

A STEP CLOSER TO THE FUTURE
Harvest
From the harbor we travel fifty nautical miles on the ocean. The views along the way are stunning. As the boat moves closer to the face of the glacier we are truly in a pristine environment. The breath of a glacier is as it was 10,000 years ago.
Glacier ice takes an incredible journey, from a single snow flake accumulating at the top of a mountain. Together these snow flakes build and over thousands of years a river of ice starts to flow down towards the sea. Icebergs crash into the ocean, drift out and melt at sea. We harvest only from free-floating icebergs. This process does not upset the natural environmental balance of which glaciers are an important part.
